Morton home prices rise in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Morton rose by $26,500 while total sales decreased by 11.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were 45 homes sold, with a median sale price of $188,000 - a 16.4% increase over the $161,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 51 homes sold in Morton in the first quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Morton for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,678, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2017.
