East Peoria home prices rise in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in East Peoria rose by $9,800 while total sales decreased by 17%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were 78 homes sold, with a median sale price of $119,250 - a 9% increase over the $109,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 94 homes sold in East Peoria in the first quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in East Peoria for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,782.80, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2017.
