Elmwood home prices rise in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Elmwood rose by $15,200 while total sales remained unchanged with six homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $92,450 - a 19.7% increase over the $77,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in Elmwood in the first quarter of 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Elmwood for 2017 was $2,613.70. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,478. This marks an increase of 5.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.8%.
