Mapleton home prices rise in the third quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2017 in Mapleton rose by $5,500 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $43,000 - a 14.7% increase over the $37,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in Mapleton in the third quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Mapleton for 2017 was $2,259.12. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,262. This marks an decrease of 0.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 5.3%.
