Farmington home prices fall in the first half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2017 in Farmington fell by $14,700 while total sales increased by 35.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2017, there were 19 homes sold, with a median sale price of $60,000 - a 19.7% decrease over the $74,700 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 14 homes sold in Farmington in the first half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Farmington for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,904, approximately 3.2% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2017.
