Washington home prices fall in the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Washington fell by $12,950 while total sales increased by 25.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 191 homes sold, with a median sale price of $157,000 - a 7.6% decrease over the $169,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 152 homes sold in Washington in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Washington for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,527, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
