Brimfield home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in Brimfield rose by $5,000 while total sales increased by 142.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 17 homes sold, with a median sale price of $90,000 - a 5.9% increase over the $85,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Brimfield in 2016.

The median sales tax in Brimfield for 2017 was $2,428. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,391. This marks an increase of 1.5%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
