Peoria home prices fall in August 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2017 in Peoria fell by $1,250 while total sales decreased by 3.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2017, there were 178 homes sold, with a median sale price of $113,750 - a 1.1% decrease over the $115,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 185 homes sold in Peoria in August 2016.

The median sales tax in Peoria for 2017 was $2,237. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,221. This marks an increase of 0.7%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
