Roanoke home prices rise in December 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2017 in Roanoke rose by $55,125 while total sales remained unchanged with two homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $124,750 - a 79.2% increase over the $69,625 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Roanoke in December 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Roanoke for 2017 was $2,531. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,436. This marks an increase of 3.9%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2%.
