El Paso home prices fall in December 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2017 in El Paso fell by $6,000 while total sales decreased by 66.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2017, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $93,500 - a 6% decrease over the $99,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were six homes sold in El Paso in December 2016.

The median sales tax in El Paso for 2017 was $2,568. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,641. This marks an decrease of 2.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
