City of Belleville Traffic Committee met June 11. 

Here is the agenda as provided by the committee:

A. Call to Order / Roll call of members and staff


      Ward 4 Alderman Raffi Ovian, Chairman

B. Approval of May 14, 2019 minutes

C. Recognition of guest Alderman

D. Public Participation

      (a) Members of the public may address the City council in accordance with Section 2.06(g) of the Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120/2.06(g).

      (b) Public comments are limited to three (3) minutes per speaker.

      (c) The subject of public comments shall be reasonably related to matter(s) identified on the meeting agenda and/or other City business.

      (d) Repetitive public comments should be avoided, to the extent practical, through adoption of prior public comments (eg. agreeing with a prior speaker).

      (e) The following conduct is prohibited during public participation:

      ٠ acting or appearing in a lewd or disgraceful manner;

      ٠ using disparaging, obscene or insulting language;

      ٠ personal attacks impugning character and/or integrity;

      ٠ intimidation;

      ٠ disorderly conduct as defined in Section 30-1-2 of this Revised Code of Ordinances;

      (f) Any speaker who engages in such prohibited conduct during public participation shall be called to order by the chair or ruling by the chair if a point of order is made by a sitting Alderman.

E. Old Business:

      1. Proposal Due to Feedback for Stop Sign from Residents of McClintock & Garden Blvd. Area

F. New Business:

      1. Consider Approval of an Executive Order at the Request of the Owners of Copper Fire for Permission to Allow DJ to Park in the First Parking Space and Loading Zone on the East Side of the First Block of S. Jackson St. on Saturday, June 1st from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for the Margaritaville on Main Event

      2. Consider Approval of an Executive Order at the Request of Art on the Square to Close the 2nd Block of E. Main St. on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. for the Paint the Bus Event That Art on the Square is Conducting in Conjunction with St. Clair County Transit District and Bi State Development Corp.
