Q3 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Mason County?

There were seven offenders released on parole during the third quarter that live in Mason County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that four men and three women were released in Mason County. The median age of the parolees was 40. The youngest parolee was a 25-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017, and the oldest was a 57-year-old woman sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Ricky E. Godwin. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015 when he was 51 years old. He is now 55.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter in each Mason County municipality.
