Q3 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Tazewell County?

There were 32 offenders released on parole during the third quarter that live in Tazewell County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that 22 men and 10 women were released in Tazewell County. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 36. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2016, and the oldest was a 58-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2011.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was George L. Guynn. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2011 when he was 50 years old. He is now 58.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
