Q1 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Peoria County?

There were 110 offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Peoria County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that 98 men and 12 women were released in Peoria County. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 36. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2017, and the oldest was a 63-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Daledrek R. Carpenter. He was convicted of homicide in 1994 when he was 19 years old. He is now 44.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
