Village of San Jose Village Board met April 29.
Here is the minutes provided by the board:
Special Board Meeting called to order by President Worlow at 7:00pm. Meeting was held at Village Hall, 309 S 2nd Street San Jose, Illinois. Roll call taken: Present: Skelton, Allen, Nolan, Blackstock, Tillquist; five (5) present.
Also, in attendance: President Worlow, Clerk Custodio, Treasurer Shelley, and 1 citizen. Meeting agenda was posted more than forty-eight in advance on the village website, outside and inside bulletin boards at Village Hall and is attached to and made part of the minutes.
Recycling:
Mayor Worlow reported to the Trustees that building materials have been dumped at the villages burn pile at the south end of 3rd Street, recommending that after the May 4th Town- wide clean-up the village clean up this area and once again chain off the area and finding a new area for burning yard waste that is from village properties, yard waste burn pile will no be provided for citizens
Open Consumption Ordinance:
Trustee Nolan made motion that the Village will not adopt an Open Consumption Ordinance, 2nd Trustee Skelton, roll call vote: Allen yea; Nolan yea; Blackstock yea; Skelton yea; Tillquist nay; motion passed 4 yeas, 1 nay.
Trustee Skelton made motion to expand the Alcoholic Beverage Prohibition noted in 7-3-3. Ordinance will be drawn up and adopted, prohibiting open consumption within 500’ (five hundred feet) of Public Parks, on public property; 2nd Trustee Allen, roll call vote: Allen yea; Nolan yea; Blackstock yea; Skelton yea; Tillquist yea; motion passed 5 yeas, 0 nay.
Reimbursement Policy:
Treasurer Shelley will make revisions.
Treasurer Shelley reported that there are 5 hard copies of Employee Handbook and employees have received forms for their signature, following review of handbook.
Trustee Allen made motion to adjourn at 6:57pm, 2nd Trustee Nolan.
