Illinois State Senate District 37 issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.
Senator Chuck Weaver is hosting a free Coffee & Conversation August 22 at Big Catz BBQ, 221 E. Main St. in Knoxville.
Scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Coffee & Conversation is open to the public.
“This is an opportunity for us to get together and talk about what is happening in our communities and in Springfield, and for you to ask questions and offer suggestions,” Senator Weaver said. “I would like your thoughts on Springfield’s passage of recreational marijuana, full-term abortion, $15-per-hour downstate minimum wage, and a constitutional amendment to make it easier for the state to tax. We are looking forward to a big crowd, so bring your family and friends.”
