Peoria home prices fall in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Peoria fell by $17,000 while total sales decreased by 18.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were 357 homes sold, with a median sale price of $90,000 - a 15.9% decrease over the $107,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 440 homes sold in Peoria in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Peoria for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $2,237, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2019.
