Washington home prices fall in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in Washington fell by $9,000 while total sales decreased by 17.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were 157 homes sold, with a median sale price of $148,000 - a 5.7% decrease over the $157,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 191 homes sold in Washington in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Washington for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $3,527, approximately 2.4% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2019.
