South Pekin home prices rise in the first half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2019 in South Pekin rose by $34,773 while total sales increased by 100%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2019, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $60,600 - a 134.6% increase over the $25,828 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in South Pekin in the first half of 2018.

The median sales tax in South Pekin for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,315, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2019.
