San Jose home prices fall in the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in San Jose fell by $43,662 while total sales decreased by 33.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $11,338 - a 79.4% decrease over the $55,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were three homes sold in San Jose in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in San Jose for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,118, approximately 9.9% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
