Forest City home prices rise in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Forest City rose by $49,750 while total sales remained unchanged with two homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were two homes sold, with a median sale price of $63,250 - a 368.5% increase over the $13,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Forest City in the second half of 2017, as well.

The median sales tax in Forest City for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $1,054, approximately 1.7% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2018.
