City of Atlanta issued the following announcement on Nov. 12.
The City of Atlanta announced that it will open emergency warming center in anticipation of frigid temperatures. The center will open today, Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. and will remain open through Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. The warming center is located at the Old Adamsville Recreation Center, 3404 Delmar Lane NW, Atlanta, GA 30331. Transportation will be provided beginning at 5:00 p.m. from Gateway, located at 275 Pryor Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30303. Men, women and children are welcome.
