South Pekin home prices rise in the second half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in South Pekin rose by $10,050 while total sales remained unchanged with eight homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were eight homes sold, with a median sale price of $52,500 - a 23.7% increase over the $42,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in South Pekin in the second half of 2018, as well.

The median sales tax in South Pekin for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,328, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2019.
