Washington home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Washington rose by $37,629 while total sales decreased by 12.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were 76 homes sold, with a median sale price of $172,629 - a 27.9% increase over the $135,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 87 homes sold in Washington in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Washington for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $3,667, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2019.
