Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Canton?

There were three offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live in Canton zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Canton were men. The median age of the parolees was 39. The youngest parolee was a 26-year-old man sentenced in 2017 and the oldest was a 51-year-old man sentenced in 2007.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Robert Becker. He was convicted in 2007 when he was 39 years old. He is now 51.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in the second quarter.
