City of Belleville Complete Count Committee met March 3.

Here is the minutes as provided by the committee:

III. Old Business

      a. Marquee Calls

            i. These calls are complete and messaging should start appearing throughout the city.

      b. Signage

            i. Signs are being printed and Jennifer will notify the group when they are ready to be picked up/delivered.

      c. Open Census Events on April 1

            i. Events are slated for PSOP, both branches of the public library, East & West High School, Harmony Intermediate school and all schools of District 118. District 119 agreed to participate but details are still being finalized. A press release and social media events will be created to promote this cross-city initiative.

      d. Mobile unit and follow up events

            i. Tom Davenport with the Census Bureau is deploying the mobile unit sometime in the month of April to Belleville. More information is forthcoming.

      e. Parade Participation

            i. So far 25 people have confirmed parade participation. Jennifer will send out specific details to those participants well before the March 14 parade day. Keep a look out for an email.

      f. Logos for Web page

            i. Please send your logo to be hosted on the partnership webpage.

      g. Volunteer Involvement – signs and parade prep (NHS)

            i. Gloria and Jennifer are working together to get the NHS kids to participate in the parade and assist with parade preparation. More to come next week.
