There was one offender released on parole during 2019 that lives in Benson zip code 61516, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that the released offender was Otis Harrell. He was convicted of a property crime in 2013, when he was 33. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
