Village of San Jose Village Board met March 23.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

Village President Worlow called the meeting to order at 6pm. Roll call taken: present – Allen, Blackstock, Canada, Nolan, Tillquist, by phone, Williams; 6 present, 0 absent. Also present – Village President Worlow, Clerk Custodio, Treasurer Shelley, Water Superintendent Albers, Maintenance Larmore.

FY21 Budget reviewed, Trustee Nolan made motion to approve FY21 Budget with corrections noted, 2nd Trustee Allen, roll call vote: Allen yea; Blackstock yea; Canada yea; Nolan yea; Tillquist yea; Williams yea; 6 yea, 0 nay, motion carried.

Water Main Project Contingency Funds, Rural Development will only approve items used for water department; Treasurer Shelley will send a list to S. Lannon, Rural Development for review.

Water Superintendent Albers recommends having water tower inspected soon. Trustee Allen made motion to have water tower inspected as soon as possible, 2nd Trustee Canada, roll call vote: Allen yea; Blackstock yea; Canada yea; Nolan yea; Tillquist yea; Williams yea; 6 yea, 0 nay, motion carried.

Water Account Forgiveness and Payment Arrangements form will be developed and presented to board at April meeting, for approval.

Water Chairman Allen reported that there are water accounts that are no longer active, that haven’t been paid in full. Those that are less than 1 year old will receive a letter requesting payment within 10 days, turned over to collection agency if not paid in full. Trustee Allen made motion to write off any outstanding, inactive water bills, over 1 year old, as non-collectible; 2nd Trustee Williams, roll call vote: Allen yea; Blackstock yea; Canada yea; Nolan yea; Tillquist yea; Williams yea; 6 yea, 0 nay, motion carried.

Trustee Tillquist made motion to approve of up to $500.00, for a hitch for the white dump truck; 2nd Trustee Allen, roll call vote: Allen yea; Blackstock yea; Canada yea; Nolan yea; Tillquist yea; Williams yea; 6 yea, 0 nay, motion carried.

Village President called for motion to adjourn at 7:24pm, motion by Trustee Canada, 2nd Trustee Tillquist.
