As of September 1, there have been 214 Peoria County residents in their sixties who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 8,706 residents in their sixties in the county who had been tested, meaning that two percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through September 1, there have been 2,414 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 40 deaths from the coronavirus in Peoria County.
