Deer Creek Fire Protection District responded to 17 calls in 2018 - 22.7 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Deer Creek included 11 fires - nine structure fires and two other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

The department also received five false calls.
