Creve Coeur Fire Protection District responded to 16 calls in 2018 - 128.6 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Creve Coeur included 13 fires - six structure fires, five vehicle fires and two other fires.

In all, the department saw $31,400 in fire loss - or about $2,415 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.

Two fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents.
