Q1 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Mason County?

There were five offenders released on parole during the first quarter of 2020 that live in Mason County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that three men and two women were released in Mason County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 44. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2019, and the oldest was a 80-year-old man sentenced in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was April D. Duckwiler. She was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2019 when she was 27 years old. She is now 29.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2020 in each Mason County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
