City of Mason City City Council Met Nov. 9.
Here is the minutes provided by the council:
Call to order by Mayor Bruce Lowe at approximately 7:00 P.M.
Council members physically present were Scott Francis, Gerald Mahin, Jim Miller, Kevin Snyder, Danny Mason, Julie Mize, and Jim Miller. Treasurer Mike Griffin, Clerk Michele Whitehead, Superintendent Wayne Dixon, and Chief Adam Anderson were also present.
The minutes of the October 26th Council meeting and the November accounts payable and October Treasurer’s report were approved.
The minutes of the October 26th, 2020 regular and executive session Council meeting, the November accounts payables and October Treasurer report were approved.
R20-83Alderman Mason moved, seconded by Alderman Mahin to approve the regular and executive session minutes of the October 12th, 2020 meeting
Ayes: Alderpersons Mize, Snyder, Miller, Francis, Mahin, and Mason
Nays: None
Chairman declared motion carried.

Alderman Mize moved, seconded by Alderman Mason to approve the estimate of funds of $492,921.33 to be drafted from the construction account for the CSO construction.
Ayes: Mason, Mahin, Francis, Miller, and Mize
Nays: none
Chairman declared motion carried
Schwartz Construction, the CSO contractors submitted change order #3 for modifications to the underground pump discharge piping network, the amount of the change order is $33,900.00

Alderman Mason moved, seconded by Alderman Mize to approve change order #3 in the amount of 33,9000.00 for the CSO project.

After many weeks of discussion and revisions the golf cart ordinance is ready for final approval. It will be approved now, but not go into effect until MARCH 1, 2021, as to give the city adequate time to install signage, obtain permit stickers, review application process.

Alderman Mason moved seconded by Alderman Miller that the City of Mason adopts a golf cart ordinance to be in full effect on March 1, 2021

R20-87 Alderman Miller moved, seconded by Alderman Snyder to approve the expense of a structural engineer to review and report on a property that could possibly become a hazard in the downtown area.
