Beth Akeson donated $2,500 to Jim Montelongo's election campaign committee, Friends of Montelongo, on Feb. 27, according to records obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

Records indicate that this contribution of $2,500 to Jim Montelongo is the only candidate contribution of $1,000 or more that they have made in the past five years.
