Caring for the Caregiver During COVID on January 11

East Peoria Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Caring for the Caregiver During COVID

An education program presented by the Alzheimer's Association

After connecting with family over the holidays, do you have concerns for the one caring for someone living with dementia? Perhaps you’ve seen the increased stress in their lives and now wonder how you can help. Maybe they said they do not need help, but you suspect that isn’t accurate. What do you do?

Join the Alzheimer’s Association for a roundtable discussion with those who traveled the caregiver’s journey. Friends and family will be empowered with practical ways they can help the caregivers in their lives.

The 90-minute discussion begins with an exploration of Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body. What does the current research tell us about the benefits of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity, and social engagement for healthy aging? Gain solid recommendations and hands-on tools to help you incorporate these lessons into a plan for yourself and those you love. In the last hour, we will explore the ways family and friends can join the Caregiver’s Journey in manageable and significant ways. Bring your questions and join the discussion.
