Report: Spoon River Valley School District spent $13,729 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Spoon River Valley Community Unit School District 4 was up 12.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Fulton County school district spent $12,188 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,729 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 357 to 297 students over the same period.

Spoon River Valley's spending in 2019-20 was 5.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
