Report: Rankin School District spent $14,286 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Rankin School District 98 was up 37.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Tazewell County school district spent $10,361 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,286 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 228 to 193 students over the same period.

Rankin's spending in 2019-20 was 1.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
