Woodford County 27th highest taxed Illinois county in April

Woodford County taxpayers paid the 27th highest amount in sales taxes in April, according to Illinois tax records.

Taxpayers in Woodford County paid $667,778 in April.

Woodford County was ranked 25th the month before.

Of all the taxes Woodford County residents paid for, Special County Retailers Occupation Tax was the most contributed to tax.

Illinois is the highest taxed state in the US.

A 2021 study from Wallet Hub found Illinois taxes are 38.95 percent higher than the national average.
