Q4 2021 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Peoria County?

There were 87 offenders living in Peoria County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows 78 men and nine women were released in Peoria County. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 38. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2020, and the oldest was a 80-year-old man sentenced for homicide in 1969.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Zelma L. King. He was convicted of homicide in 1969 when he was 26 years old. He is now 80.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2021 in each Peoria County.
