Peoria Standard

There were 16 offenders living in Fulton County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows 13 men and three women were released in Fulton County. The median age of the parolees was 38. The youngest parolee was a 27-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2020, and the oldest was a 69-year-old woman sentenced for homicide in 1998.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Nancy J. Gilson. She was convicted of homicide in 1998 when she was 44 years old. She is now 69.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
