Q3 2021 Recap: 3 parolees from Peoria County convicted of financial crimes or fraud set for release

There were three offenders convicted of financial crimes or fraud living in Peoria County released on parole during the third quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Peoria Standard.

The data shows all of the released offenders among the parolees were men. The median age of the parolees sentenced for financial crimes or fraud was 56. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced in 2021, and the oldest was a 64-year-old man sentenced in 2020.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Stevie Murray. He was convicted in 2020 when he was 54 years old. He is now 56.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of financial crimes or fraud were paroled during the third quarter of 2021 in each Illinois county.
