Q4 2021 Recap: 15 parolees from Peoria County convicted of crimes against persons set for release

There were 15 offenders convicted of crimes against persons living in Peoria County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Peoria Standard.

The data shows 13 men and two women were among the parolees. Of the parolees sentenced for crimes against persons, one was a veteran, and the median age was 38. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old woman sentenced in 2020, and the oldest was a 48-year-old man sentenced in 2019.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Marcus Fleming. He was convicted in 1999 when he was 16 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of crimes against persons were paroled during the fourth quarter of 2021 in each Illinois county.
