Q4 2022 Recap: 2 parolees from Peoria County convicted of crimes against justice set for release

There were two offenders convicted of crimes against justice living in Peoria County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Peoria Standard.

The data shows both of the released offenders among the parolees were men. The median age of the parolees sentenced for crimes against justice was 35. The younger parolee was a 26-year-old man sentenced in 2022, and the oldest was a 44-year-old man sentenced in 2022.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Darius Davis. He was convicted in 2022 when he was 25 years old. He is now 26.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
