City of El Paso Beautification Committee met March 30.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
The Beautification Committee Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Chairman Mary Ellen
Kilpatrick.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Roll call was taken with Committee Members Mary Ellen Kilpatrick, Thad Mool (arrived 7:05 PM), and Jenny Staulcup present.
Others present were: Mayor, JW Price; Director of Public Service, Barry Kauther and City Clerk, David Fever.
Also present via Zoom was Administrative Assistant, Sandee Kessinger.
Discussion was on the two proposals that were received for the landscaping for the Front Street Sidewalk Project. The Committee discussed the research that Kilpatrick had done on the types of trees and shrubbery recommended and they would like to change a few of the recommendations. The Committee will recommend to the City Council to go with John Koos’ proposal but with a few different trees and shrubs.
Mool moved to accept Koos’ proposal for $14,350 as long as the changes can be made.
Staulcup seconded and a voice vote was taken of all ayes.
Mool moved to adjourn the meeting and Staulcup seconded.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 pm.
