 5. Recommendations to the Steering Committee:

 • Investigation in-ground system for getting people around similar to larger cities – cuts down on automobiles, safer, especially since Jefferson is being made into a 2-way

 • Lack of vehicle ownership- Changing Gears program- what can we do here? Should we reach out?

• If we had a survey or forum, what questions would we ask of citizens:

 i. What are the biggest challenges you face with transportation and mobility- a gut-check  here of what we have been assuming are the issues

ii. Is it the bus stop, vehicle ownership, what stands in the way of getting there?

iii. Where are the gaps?

iv. Not just for the underserved? Can we focus on overall improvements? Creating good methods for links to jobs in various areas like downtown. Park & Ride? eliminate pollution v. Any types of changes- as things get better- the community can grow through progress of improvements

vi. Training for bike riders? Offer this where they live. Neighborhood House! Identify a bike riding organization- see if we can get someone to volunteer.

6. New Business

7. Adjournment
