Beginning Monday, October 30, traffic patterns on W Glen Avenue between W War Memorial Drive and N Dawn Drive will change. All traffic, both eastbound and westbound, will shift to the outside driving lanes and the current head-to-head traffic configuration will cease.
The traffic configuration change is necessary for mill and overlay work on W Glen Avenue between W War Memorial Drive and N Ronald Road which is scheduled to begin at 7 am on Tuesday, October 31. The mill and overlay work will last approximately one week, weather permitting.
Drivers should expect MAJOR delays on Glen Avenue and possible delays on War Memorial Drive, as equipment will be entering and exiting the intersection. Drivers are highly encouraged to seek alternative routes, if possible.
Motorists should watch for flaggers and changing lane patterns throughout the week. Drivers should obey all posted construction zone speed limits and exercise an overabundance of caution in the area.
This work is part of the Glen Avenue Reconstruction Project. The public’s patience while the project is completed is appreciated.
