He thanked the Fire Department for the open house and encouraged Board members to attend in the future. He said Centennial Park had an open house too and encouraged Board members to attend that in the future as well. He congratulated Trustee McDonald for getting married two weeks ago.

VIII) Park Board Chairman Report
He was not present. Board President Leopold said the Chairman wants volunteers to help at the Halloween Event.
IX) Village Attorney/Village Administrator-Announcements/Comments
He stated that the Chancelor’s Certificate begins on October 19th. None of the Planning and Zoning Board offered to do it. Board President Leopold said they are trying to fill the empty spot on that Board. The Village Administrator said they are monitoring the vacation act and still don’t have concrete guidance. He also stated that work has continued with a potential development in the Village and Dave Bollinger is back at work.
X) Public Comment
A member of the public asked about the storage center on Llewellyn. Board President Leopold said there will be inspections next week that Deppe and his attorney have agreed to, and every facility will be inspected. The member of the public asked to be notified of the date. Board President Leopold said he does not know the date. The Village Administrator said they will if the Village Attorney has no problem with it. Trustee Neumeyer said they need volunteers for the Santa House and Halloween event. They need three people in the Santa House at least each night. They have enough Santas and just need more helpers. The Village Administrator said there was an issue with an easement coming close to a private residence. Hank’s Excavating has taken over the project at a cost of not to exceed $52,000. Board President Leopold said the edge of the house is being washed out.

Trustee Neumeyer asked about the money for the Fire Department cameras. Chief Tell said the money can come out of Vehicle Maintenance and it could be two or three weeks.
XII) Old Business
Trustee McDonald asked about the business with Schnucks. The Village Administrator said he will reach out to them. Trustee McDonald asked about the cable company check. The Village Administrator said the insurance reached out for further clarification on the cost calculations and it may change. Trustee McDonald asked what happened to the check in the mail. Board President Leopold said it wasn’t in the mail.
XIII) New Business
Board President Leopold said the Village got money from the foreign fire tax fund. Chief Tell said Trustee Lanter has the check.
