Unchanged number of attorneys held active licenses to practice law in cities in Tazewell County in January compared to previous month

Cities located within Tazewell County had no change in the number of lawyers with active licenses compared to the previous month, according to the ARDC of the Supreme Court of Illinois.

In total, there were 26 active legal licenses recorded in Tazewell County in January.

The highest number of licenses were granted in East Peoria (11).

There were more than 4,000 grievances filed against nearly 3,300 lawyers in 2022. The most cited grievance arose from a breakdown in attorney-client relations.

On the discipline topic, in 2022, the State court disbarred 12 lawyers, placed another 48 on suspension, and censured three others.

Data refers to all lawyers who were actively practicing during this period.
