The City of Peoria Department of Public Works has announced a public meeting to discuss the City’s municipal separate storm sewer system and combined sewer overflow control program. The meeting is set to take place on March 5 at the Lincoln School Library, located at 700 Mary St. Attendees are instructed to use entrance No. 2.
According to the announcement, attendees are encouraged to participate in the meeting to gain a better understanding of how the City’s storm sewer system operates and how combined sewer overflows are managed. They will have the opportunity to learn about the similarities and differences between the two systems, as well as how rainwater impacts both.
Furthermore, the meeting will include an update on the Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Control Program, where a summary and status of the program will be presented. Representatives from the City’s stormwater and combined sewer overflow programs will be present to address any questions from the public.
