Sidewalk work at the intersections of SW Adams Street and Harrison Street, and SW Adams Street and Liberty Street is set to continue this week, weather permitting. According to the project updates, sidewalk removal has already commenced at the Harrison and Adams streets junction, with grading and preparation work for new curb, gutter, and sidewalk to follow. Additionally, saw cutting has been completed at the intersection of Liberty and Adams streets.

Due to the ongoing construction activities, pedestrian access will be restricted near 400 SW Adams and Harrison Street, as well as 300 SW Adams Street and Liberty Street. Pedestrians are advised to exercise caution in these areas and utilize alternative routes to cross the street at the nearest available intersection.

Motorists are reminded of the existing lane and parking restrictions along SW Adams Street, with on-street parking limitations clearly indicated. Drivers should be observant for unbagged, available parking meters, as parking in spaces marked with “No Parking” signs is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, additional parking, lane, and sidewalk restrictions are expected as the Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way (OWTW) Conversion Project advances.

As work progresses, drivers are urged to be vigilant of construction personnel in the vicinity and to adhere to designated no parking areas. Enhanced caution is advised for all road users in the area to ensure safety and efficiency during the construction period.
